The best classical flash mob in Italy was staged in a splendid southern village of Puglia, by Conservatorio of Lecce’s students to promote their concerts. It took place on June the 4th,  2017:  it was sunset when 65 musicians and 20 chorus members surprised the public, mostly composed by families, who had come to enjoy an aperitive in the anchient borough of Vaste, by the Museum Cafe’, just 10 meters away from charming boutique B&B Tana del Riccio.

Introduced by a blast of trumpet, the signal for all to take position, the classical flash mob begun… and the notes of Carmen filled the place!

It was a sparkling way to inform people about “I concerti nel Borgo”, a classical music festival which takes place every thursday in july and august. A video was prepared and it rapidly went viral, published on line by the vast majority of italian press. As the flash mob took place the day after the terrorist attack in London, students decided to have a :”We Love London” banner placed in the area.

Vaste is highly strategic to rapidly get to the best and most beautiful Adriatic coast pearls: Castro Marina, Porto Miggiano, Santa Cesarea Terme are 5 km away, l’Insenatura di Acquaviva è a 7 km, in 15′  Marittima di Diso e in 20′, Porto Badisco, Otranto and gli Alimini are 25’drive away. 45′ are needed to reach Gallipoli, Porto Cesareo, Maldives in Marina di Pescoluse on the ionic coast. classical flash mob
